Help me keep my girlfriend from her abusive mother

Hi, my name is Katie, I’m a 21 year old autistic trans woman and I’m dating Callie @squidward-sword , a 20 year old autistic trans woman.

Now the thing is her mother is extremely abusive by constantly misgendering her, cutting her internet access and not helping her do the one thing she demanded of her: For Callie to get a job.

I’m helping Callie get a job now, the same on I have for AT&T, and she’s staying with me, but until she gets hired and gets her first paycheck which will be on September 15th, we’re gonna be struggling.

Which is why I would like to ask all of you for any help you could possibly give so Callie can stay with me away from her abusive mother and possibly get access to trans healthcare here in the Czech Republic as she can’t get it in Lithuania.

My paypal is http://www.paypal.me/KatieW96 and it’s got my current legal name which is a neutral version of my deadname because czech law.

I’d really appreciate any help you could give

I am unbelievably grateful for everyone who has donated to us getting us up to 135~ USD (It wasn’t all in USD) and I am floored you helped us out, these donations have definitely helped us but we could still use it, if you have more to spare, are able to share, or heck have a rich friend who lacks empathy you could trick into thinking this is for a show I’d be even more thankful.

Thanks to all 720 people who reblogged and liked and spread this around to get the word out

I was hoping to have good news today as Callie had her interview for the AT&T position but they didn’t hire her.

We’re both devastated and I’m looking if there’s something that could be done about changing the decision but either way we’re even more screwed than before.

I don’t want to have to send Callie back to her mother to try and find a job in Lithuania but we might need to do that, but we can’t currently afford tickets for it.

So if you could please help us out again or as much as you can I really don’t know what to say or what we’re going to do now.

Update: We’re looking for other jobs but those are difficult to find for a foreigner that doesn’t speak the official language of the country.

But by now this post is getting more notes than donations. I appreciate it all but for all these lovely 1000+ people who are definitely as broke as me and Callie we managed to get only about 195 USD in donations, and the cost of living here is wildly different compared to the US or UK.

There’s still about two weeks before I get my paycheck which we can struggle on again but we really could use more help.

If i’m telling you, “this is a hot plate.” But I make no effort to put it down, i’m internally yelling at you to move your shit. Your phone. Your keys. Your bread. Whatever is directly in front of you is from that point on is now classified as your shit. The shit you are suddenly responsibly for and I am burning my hands for. Move your shit. I’m not going to move it for you.

Shoutout to the people who see me approaching with their food and immediately start clearing the way for me. You are the real MVPs. You know what’s up. You understand.

As for everybody else. Move. Your. Shit.

Me

We see that and we respect the fuck out of you. Thank you.

good to know, I thought doing that made me look like a hungry dog

For those wanting more detail: The company health insurance covers everything from cavities to chemo; but not every state considers transitioning an issue that health insurers can cover. So Starbucks filled out the gap by paying for it out of pocket in those states where it isn’t covered! Woo!

Fuck….WHERES MY LOCAL STAR BUCKS

This is only for those on the company health insurance, ie mainly the managers. Working as a part-time barista wont get you covered :/

I really hate it when parents of autistic kids use phrases like “I know they’re in there.” Bitch they’re right in front of you! You haven’t lost them! They’re not locked away like a final boss in a video game!! This is your child As Is! Love them for who they are not what you wish they would be! Fuck!

I didn’t expect this to get notes but it’s absolutely ok to reblog and I’m glad it has been

The gifset going around about Tom Holland is fake.

He never said he had a partner with they/them pronouns, and it was captioned because it was a fan request from a Tom Holland fanblog.

Furthermore, doing this to your faves makes them look bad if misinformation spreads around. Celebrities aren’t your goddamn plaything, and they lead real lives. They aren’t just a fucking character. It’s disrespectful.

On Twitter people were doing the same thing to gifs and images of Millie Bobby Brown—an actual literal child—making her say all kinds of negative, nasty, and homophobic shit. People thought this was real, and it was getting so out of hand that people were harassing Millie (a child) on Twitter badly enough that it made her deactivate her Twitter account.

Not only is it disgusting to pretend that celebrities are your playthings—characters for your enjoyment to superimpose whatever ideals you want onto them—but it’s inherently terrible when you’re manipulating their image, careers, and lives.

A child was harassed on Twitter because of it. Doing things like what was done to a gif set of Tom Holland isn’t harmless. It has repercussions. Quit treating actual real-life people like toys for your enjoyment.

I reblogged that post and this makes me really fucking angry

Kickstarting Braille RPG dice

Emily writes, “64oz Games is working once again to improve Braille accessibility in popular board games, this time in tabletop RPGs. This kickstarter will allow them to purchase a high resolution 3d printer to produce a polyhedral die set (D4, D6, D8, D10, D12, D20 & Percentile) with Braille as well as print numbers. This will also allow them to continue to produce high quality Braille teaching materials that improve Braille literacy world wide.”

There’s more to this than just putting Braille glyphs on the dice – they have to remain balanced! $10 gets you one die, $50 gets you a whole set. The rewards are danged cool, too, including Braille dice earrings!

signal boost!

Reblogging with link to actual kickstarter.  It ends on November 25th.

The project was successfully funded. Their shop now sells the braille dice as well as accessibility kits for other popular games here!
