I asked my boyfriend in Canada once, how he deals with polar bears because I was curious about what to do and he was like, just be calm, let them know you’re there, and give them space and they’ll usually just go away.

In Finland on the other hand.

i deserve unrestricted access to old churches and castles i want to know all the secrets

i work in a castle and have unrestricted access and let me tell you sometimes knowing all the secrets……is worse

please share with us the secrets

what you guys want then, huh? You want royal family gossip? You wanna hear about the Duchess of York sneaking her lover into her room through a secret door? Or do you want the gross shit, like the skull stuck on the pike on top of the keep which nobody really knows how it got there but maintenance says it’s too high up to get down? Or the fact we tell kids the skeleton in the store room is ‘just a dummy’ but in reality nobody can break the grate without collapsing the wall?

Ya’ll wanna hear about the G H O S T D O G?????

I in fact want to hear all of those like way too much for it to be healthy

GHOST DOG

GHOST DOG

GHOST DOG

GHOST DOG

Basically when I first started working there the guide who was showing me around stopped with me in the library and said ‘Also so you know there’s the ghost of a dog in here so watch out’ and I was just like haha okay sure there is, but nope apparently there is an actual ghost dog. Like people come from those ghost websites to see the ghost dog (there’s a bird as well but who cares about ghost bird when there’s a ghost DOG), they ask me about it when I’m in the library. I’m not a disbeliever in ghosts but websites like that make me wonder if people started these rumours for good business, but EVERY older guide at the castle is 100% convinced they’ve seen or felt the ghost dog.

Apparently he sits in the library waiting for his owner to return to come find him after getting lost in a game of chase which is some real tv drama level of sadness, and every time I’m on library duty I always keep an eye out for him. If I see him shall I give him pats for you? I think he’ll be happy to know he has fans

Can we take a moment to appreciate that Agent Carter was rushing forward to the same thing?

#can we talk about that last comment?#peggy carter’s instinct is the exact same as steve rogers#the only reason steve was the one curled around the grenade#is because he was standing closer#steve proved himself worthy of being captain america in this moment#and he does make a fine one#but they needn’t have searched for him#because they had peggy there the whole time#you dont have to wonder (via littleironi)

#my whole reasoning behind PeggyCap right there#also look at that boy#thats tge guy Peggy Carter fell in love with (via rocksaltandroll)

Here’s some hard to swallow pills that’ll probably make people upset but is 100% the truth and idc.

You do not have to stay in a relationship with a mentally ill person if it becomes too much for you to handle. You are not their saviour, that’s not your responsibility to save them.

Any person who uses their mental instability to control you staying is a shitty person. IE “if you leave me I swear to god I’ll kill myself”, still not your responsibility, LEAVE.

For Atlantis, Disney needed a new language for the Atlantean people. To do this, Disney hired Mark Okrand, the man who also created the famous Klingon and Vulcan for the Star Trek series. In the Atlantean language, Mark Okrand’s main source for it’s roots and stems of its words are Proto-Indo-European,but as Okrand also described it as being the “tower of babel” or “root dialect” for all languages in the world, he also used ancient Chinese, Latin, Greek, Biblical Hebrew, along with many other ancient languages or their reconstructions. As such, you can actually learn to write and speak the language!

This film is so underrated it hurts.

ah this explains how they understood french and english so well almost instantly… better than the magical wind in Pocahontas that’s for sure

Man, don’t you just wish Atlantis took off as a sci-fi franchise for Disney just so all that world building they did between this and Subterranean Tours could have found more use?
